Family Discussions

Family Discussions

Have family discussions (or meetings, but meetings sound too formal for me – but whatever works for you!), in which all members of the family share their input. Make it normal for you to ask your child’s opinion, listen to their viewpoints and take on board the suggestions or ideas they have. This is a simple but powerful way to boost the self-worth and self-esteem of all members of the family. It allows everyone to feel connected, heard, valued and like they are contributing to the family as a whole.

Remember, it is likely that your child with superpowers will remember everything you say and hold you to it. Be very careful with your wording and what you agree to!

It’s now time to do some homework.
